    Biography

    Ali Almanna is a series editor of Routledge Studies in Arabic Translation (London/New York: Routledge). He obtained his PhD in Translation Studies from the University of Durham (UK) and his MA in Translation Studies from Westminster University (UK). Currently, he is Associate Professor of Translation Studies at Hamad Bin Khalifa University, College of Humanities and Social Sciences where he teaches and supervises MA and PhD students.  

    In addition to many articles published in peer reviewed journals, he is author, editor and translator of several publications. His recent publications include 

    • The Routledge Course in Translation Annotation (London/New York: Routledge: 2016),
    • Semantics for Translation Students (Oxford: Peter Lang: 2016),
    • The Nuts and Bolts of Arabic-English Translation (Newcastle upon Tyne: Cambridge Scholars Publishing: 2018),
