Biography
Igli Mlloja received his Bsc degree in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University in 2023, with a concentration in Algorithms and Complexity Theory and a Minor in Mathematical Sciences. He is a researcher in machine learning, with a focus on system-aware algorithms that optimize efficiency, precision, and scalability. He focuses in novel training strategies with an emphasis on efficiently scalable computation. His research also includes knowledge distillation in the context of LLMs, and memory-efficient and high-performance AI systems. Previously worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at SponixTech, a start up in Qatar, where he identified key bugs in the human-data-collection pipeline and improved the image matting module of their key product.
