Iman Ghazal holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from the University of Western Ontario, Canada, where she majored in Childhood and Social Institutions and minored in Psychology.
She went on to complete a one-year graduate certificate in Autism and Behavioral Science from Fanshawe College, Ontario. Following her studies, she moved to Saudi Arabia, beginning her career as an Early Intervention Specialist and Clinical Research Coordinator at the Center for Autism Research, King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center. During this time, she collaborated with a multidisciplinary team in the early diagnosis and intervention of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Additionally, she contributed to several research and training initiatives, including educational consultancy, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) training programs, and the Language Environment Analysis (LENA) research study.
She later earned a Master’s degree in Special Education from the Department of Psychological Sciences, College of Education, Qatar University. In October 2016, Ghazal joined the ASD Epidemiology Research team at the Qatar Biomedical Research Institute (QBRI), part of Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), as a Senior Research Associate.
