Biography

Ivan Gladich received his Master's and Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Trieste and the International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP). He then completed postdoctoral research at Purdue University (USA), the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, and the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA) in Italy. In 2015, he joined the Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute (QEERI).

His primary expertise lies in using computational physical chemistry tools to investigate molecular-level processes occurring at technologically and atmospherically relevant interfaces. He specializes in advanced computational techniques, including accelerated classical and first-principles molecular dynamics, quantum computing, and high-performance computing. Dr. Gladich also has extensive experience supervising bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. students, both locally and internationally.
