Biography

Dr. Nezir Aydin is an Associate Professor of Logistics and Supply Chain Management within the College of Sciences and Engineering (CSE, HBKU). He holds Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Wayne State University/MI/USA, and MSc and BSc degrees in Industrial Engineering from Yildiz Technical University. He taught courses and conducted research at Wayne State University and Yildiz Technical University between the years of 2005-2024. His main research areas are as follows:

  • Supply chain management,
  • Healthcare management and operations optimization
  • Stochastic optimization
  • Decision making under uncertainty
  • Optimization and decision making under fuzzy environment
  • Modeling and optimization
  • Transportation logistics
  • Simulation

He published more than 60 papers in scopus and WOS indexed journals and managed more than ten projects. He supervised and supervising several MSc. and Ph.D. students.
