Personal profile

Biography

I am currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (Qatar Foundation) after 4 years of being an instructor at Sharif University of Technology. I'm also an Editorial Board Member of Advances in Operations Research (Wiley), Mathematical Problems in Engineering (Wiley), and Advances in Computers and Electronics. I've published more than 40 peer-reviewed scholarly Web of Science indexed journal papers (a total of more than 1750 citations with an h-index of 25).

I have received several National and International awards, including the National Elite Foundation’s award of Iran for superior PhD talent students in 2015-2016 and the ARAP scholarship from A*STAR (Agency for Science, Technology and Research) in Singapore. Under this scholarship, I worked on a project titled “Optimization of logistics costs in industry clusters using a 3PL managed supply-demand hub” at the Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIM Tech) as a researcher in 2016.

I am also serving as a reviewer in more than 40 scholarly peer-reviewed Web of Science indexed journals (Publons), including the International Journal of Production Economics, Transportation Research Part E, International Journal of Production Research, European Journal of Operational Research, etc. One of my papers has been recognized as the “Most Cited” in the Journal of Computational Science (Elsevier).

In recent years, I gained significant teaching experience as an Instructor at some of the most prestigious universities in Iran, including Sharif University of Technology and Amirkabir University of Technology, with outstanding teaching evaluations in both English and Persian languages for undergraduate and graduate courses, such as Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Operations Research (Basic and Advanced), Demand Planning and Management, production & inventory planning control, etc., for undergraduate and graduate students.

My extensive background in logistics and supply chain management encompasses digital supply chains, sustainable supply chains, humanitarian supply chains, operations management, and operations research. I am enthusiastic about extending my research in these areas and exploring new frontiers in industrial engineering and operations management, including data-driven logistics and big data analytics.
