Abstract
The 1st International Workshop on Autism Sensing Technologies (A-sense’24) aims to unite experts in autism, AI, computer vision, and sensing technologies to address challenges related to screening, diagnosis, assessment, and behavioural and educational intervention. This event will serve as a collaborative platform for scientists, researchers, clinicians, and therapists worldwide, fostering discussions and networking opportunities. At present, multiple research teams around the globe are exploring this area, yet there hasn't been a single event designed to gather all these specialists together. Our symposium will showcase presentations on innovative research, facilitating interdisciplinary dialogue and potential collaborations between these groups. The key objectives of A-sense’24 include:
1. Exploring cutting-edge research to revolutionise autism assessments, educational, and behavioural interventions, empowering autistic individuals and their families.
2. Examining how advanced AI and sensing technologies can enable remote, quantitative assessments of autism, supporting early diagnosis and tailored intervention strategies.
3. Initiating research collaborations to refine and implement technologies aiding individuals with autism.
