Abstract

The literary data on baromembrane processes intensified by chemical reagent addition are reviewed. The processes causing the changes in phase composition and dispersed state of solutions are considered. The complexation of polyelectrolytes and non-ionic polymers with metal ions or organic compounds (surfactants, dyes, proteins, other water soluble polymers) is analyzed. As the processes caused by phase and dispersed state changes, the ultrafiltration with complexation in segregated system, and micelle formation intensified ultrafiltration are characterized.
