Abstract

This paper presents a CMOS imager integrated with pixel level analog processing circuits to perform spatial image processing. The chip also contains an 8-bit ADC and digital motion detection modules, which use the template model. There are two arrays of different types of photocircuits. One 8 × 64 array of charge-integration photodetectors and an array of 4 × 64 photodetectors followed by analog circuitry for multiplicative noise cancellation. The chip has been fabricated in a 2μm CMOS process in an area of 6.7mm × 6.8mm.
