Abstract

The work presented in this paper continues a recently published paper at the International Conference on Power System Transients IPST 2023. The previous work presented a case study of transient overvoltage amplification in a 400kV reduced network in the UK.

This paper describes sensitivity studies on the same network to obtain more insight into the network configurations that could lead to such propagation of transient overvoltage to remote nodes. The main aim is to identify factors that have the greatest impact on the amplification of overvoltage.
