Abstract
A study is made of the adsorption of two basic dyes from aqueous solution onto activated carbon. A model is used to determine the external mass transfer coefficient for the two systems and the effect of some experimental variables (agitation, initial dye concentration, carbon particle size) is investigated. The system is examined in relation to the treatment of dyeing effluents.
