Abstract

LiNbO3 thin films have been grown on LixNb1-xO3 substrates by the dipping liquid phase epitaxy technique from a LiNbO3-LiVO3 flux. The composition of the substrates was varied from being congruent to near stoichiometric. The growth parameters like temperature and time, have been optimized in order to obtain high quality thin films. The thin films crystallinity, lattice mismatch and composition have been studied in order to improve the quality of the films.
