Interaction of incoherent two-dimensional photorefractive solitons

Abstract

Numerical and experimental investigation of the interaction between incoherent spatial photorefractive solitons is performed. It is found that the interaction between two-dimensional solitons is different from the interaction between one-dimensional solitons. Whereas one-dimensional incoherent solitons display only attraction, two-dimensional solitons can display repulsion as well as attraction.
