Abstract

In the introductory chapter of this Handbook, the rationale, the scope, and the objectives of the collection are outlined. It then provides an overview of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) concept as applied in this Handbook, which is viewed as a "concept for all" and an "institution". A snapshot of key reviews of the scholarly research concerning the CSR and sports nexus is then provided, before a more comprehensive analysis of this nexus is presented using Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) as methodological lenses. The chapter concludes with a brief description of each of the 16 contributions.
