Abstract

The rate processes for the adsorption of Disperse Blue 7 on activated carbon have been reported. A number of factors which affect the rate of adsorption of Disperse Blue 7 on activated carbon have been studied. The experimental variables investigated include: the effect of agitation, initial dye concentration, carbon particle size and temperature. The activated energy for the adsorption process was found to be 34 kJ/mol.
