Abstract

This work addresses bright, dark and singular soliton solutions for a scalar dispersive nonlinear Schrödinger's equation with higher order dispersions and full nonlinearity. There are five forms of nonlinear media considered in this paper. They are Kerr law, power law, parabolic law, dualpower law and log-law nonlinearity. The ansatz approach reveals that exact 1-soliton solutions are retrievable in all five nonlinear forms. The higher order dispersions have no visible contribution upon using this analytical approach.
