Abstract

A deterministic quality-of-service (QoS) guarantees method for multimedia wireless networks is discussed. The uniqueness of this scheme is that it can provide bounded loss and bounded delay deterministically. More connections can be admitted into the network, by allowing certain bounded loss for the connections. A set of performance-evaluation tests demonstrated that the proposed QoS guarantee schemes can significantly support more connections than a system that does not allow any loss.
