Abstract

The generation and experimental investigation of solitonic lattices in photorefractive crystals were studied. The two-dimensional spatial solitonic lattices were generated in a Sr0.60Ba0.40Nb 2O6:Ce crystal. The individual solitonic channels were modulated by using supplementary control beams. By exploiting the anisotropic coherent soliton interaction, particularly the relative phase between soliton rows, an enhanced lattices' stability was achieved.
