Abstract

In this paper comprehensive space vector model of an eleven-phase voltage source inverter (VSI). is presented. The total numbers of switching combinations that give 211 = 2048 space vectors are elaborated out of which 2046 are active and 2 are zero vectors. The space vectors thus obtained are then transformed into five planes (one is d-q and rest are x-y). The complete mapping of space vectors are presented in the paper. Simulation results are reported for step operation of the eleven-phase inverter. The simulation results are then validated using experimental results with R-L load.
