Abstract
The fluidization characteristics of plastic cuboid particles (chipped potatoes) were studied. The parameters studied include friction factor, shape factor and the effect of tube wall. A modified Ergun equation was derived in terms of the friction factor for cuboids having a degree of sphericity 0.66. The resistance coefficient was correlated with sphericity. (A)
