Abstract

The nursing profession has progressed in terms of both education and practice. Advances in technology have shaped the way professional nursing students and staff approach patient care. In particular, mobile technology has played a significant role in this advancement. After a brief introduction, this chapter will discuss how technology has been introduced to nursing education and practice while focusing specifically on the use of mobile technology. Current challenges and opportunities in mobile health (mHealth) will be addressed along with future trends in using mobile technology in nursing education and practice.
