Abstract
The effects of the size of membrane pore (within the range of 10-50 nm) and working pressure (0.1-1.6 MPa) upon the rate of the lignosulfate fractionation process and the molecular weight composition of the fractions obtained were studied. Under conditions of gel formation the size of membrane pores had practically no effect on the molecular weight composition of the resulting fractions, while a pressure increase shifted the curves describing the molecular weight distribution of fractions in the filtrate toward lower molecular weights.
